What is Few-Shot Prompting?
Including one or more examples of the output you want in your prompt, so the AI copies their style, length and format. One example is "one-shot", a few examples are "few-shot".
Describing a style in words is hard. Showing it is easy. If you paste two product descriptions you like and ask for a third "in the same style", the AI picks up the length, tone and structure without you explaining any of it.
Example:
Write a description for a bamboo desk organiser in the same style as:
Product: Steel water bottle, 1 litre
Description: Keeps water cold for 12 hours. Leak-proof lid, fits most bike
holders. Built for long office days and weekend rides.
Tips: use two or three varied examples with the same structure, and remove private details from real examples. For brainstorming, examples can limit creativity, so ask for ideas "very different from" your example.
